Storm's a-comming
A storm is coming tomorrow, so we went out to the drill rig to lower the tent......however, it seems like the tent can survive the storm if it is put up before the wind gets too strong. This we will test - wish us luck. It should be able to survive 30 knots and that is what we are getting.
The lowering of the tent, moving of the drill rig, and raising the tent went pretty well. There are lots of steps and much discussion of the best way to do things, but we were back up and over the third hole. We were able to drill for much of the afternoon and got down to 30 m before Tots (the station manager) called us back in for poor visibility (condition 2).
Interesting fact - all of our Stations are named after Greenlandic animals. We are working on Station 45 currently (Qilanngaq - which is the Puffin).
